How To Order
Operation New Hope (ONH), Lifeskills manuals have been created to teach counselors, teachers, social workers, mentors, facilitators, and other human services personnel specific skills for working with unmanageable behavior in individuals seeking help with the problems in their lives. Focusing on an holistic approach to behavior change; shifting from societal answers to personal reflections. Manuals consist of modules designed to help in handling negative emotions, recognizing and dealing with emotions that seem beyond control, recognizing distorted beliefs, and addictive behaviors, and provides techniques for asking for help, reducing stress and fear, building self esteem, forgiveness, honesty, and maintaining a positive lifestyle. The program focuses on success rather than failure and on dealing with building a future rather than being victimized by the past. Continued personal growth is the ultimate goal of Operation New Hope.
Instructors using the manuals will learn how to facilitate lifestyle practices with groups of youth and adults whose behavior has become unmanageable. Goals are to show how troubled individuals can improve their basic socialization skills, alleviate the need for dependence on alcohol or illicit drugs, reduce criminal activity, and improve overall lifestyle choices in the areas of social functioning, education, jobs, and employment. Youth ministers, teachers, mentors or stable, caring, adults with a spiritual and moral base are candidates who can be Operation New Hope facilitators.
School counselors, teachers, social workers, psychologists, probation and parole officers across the United States can benefit from ONH training, as can students in human services disciplines, such as criminal justice, social work, and psychology.
